Do you need a Stairlift?

The answer to this question may not be as obvious as you initially think.

The first question to ask yourself is…

"What causes my difficulty on the stairs?"

It could be that you use a wheelchair, for example. A stair lift is not really a suitable solution for a wheelchair user. That said, some wheelchair users also use a stair lift without difficulty, but you must be coldly realistic in deciding if a stair lift an appropriate solution in your circumstances.

Next questions…

"How are you managing right now?"

Is your situation likely to improve? Stay as it is? Or deteriorate?

"What are your alternatives?"
"Live on the ground floor of your home?"
"Move to another place?"
"Install an Elevator?"
"What has stopped you from acting, before now?"

If you feel that a stair lift could solve your stair climbing difficulties, your next question will probably be…

How much does a Stairlift cost?
